Question: How do I download my Guru content to my iPad?
Solution:
In order to get your content you
will need to be registered on the Guru Store, own Guru, and have a
valid login for the www.howdoyouguru.com site. By
following the below steps you will receive a coupon to "purchase" the
Guru Libraries for free.
The following steps will
assist you in getting your content (clicking on the links within the
steps will open another window):
- Register
If you have not registered at the
Guru store, you will first need to click here to register
(this is a separate registration from www.howdoyouguru.com). You will
need to check with the email you registered under to activate your
account. You should receive an email within 5 to 10 minutes (be sure to
check any spam folders you may have).
If you are unsure if you have already registered, follow
step two to see if you can log in.
- Log into Your Store Account
Log into the Guru
Store. (When you have successfully logged on, you will see in the upper right corner of the site "Hello," followed by your name).
- Link howdoyouguru Account to Obtain Coupon to "Purchase" the Libraries for Free
Next, click here and
follow the steps to verify that you own Guru and receive your
free coupon to download the content. The Coupon is applied after you add the libraries to your shopping cart.
- Download Guru for the iPad App
You will need to download the Guru for the iPad app from Apple's App Store. On the iPad, click on the App Store icon and search for Guru for the iPad. If you haven't already done so, you will need to create an iTunes account in order to download Apps onto the iPad (FYI the Guru for the iPad Player is free).
- Download Libraries onto iPad
Now open the Guru for the iPad Player and click on the shopping cart. Enter your store login credentials. Next click on Download All Available Content and it should begin
to download the content.
NOTE: Make sure you are using your WiFi connection and not your 3G cellular connection to download the Guru content. There is a maximum download limit per day for most plans and the Guru content will exceed that limit.
